Born and raised in the hinterlands of small town Wisconsin, Megan has been writing stories (or acting them out in the woods behind her house like a complete nerd) since the dawn of time. In 2008, she graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and in 2011, she graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She also spent a year abroad teaching English in Madrid.
Besides writing and traveling, Megan enjoys art, reading, theatre, knitting, and eating. Other great loves are little dogs with smashed-in faces, hairless cats, bawdy jokes, Project Runway, history (especially the Old West, the 1920’s, 1950’s, and medieval England), old movies, quirky dresses, indie music, Elvis Presley, and chocolate. She also has a special place in her heart for Quantum Leap.
